New South Wales police rescue the man from the factory roof
A suspected burglar had to be rescued from the roof of the factory it is believed he was trying to break into.
Police were called to a joinery factory in Sydney, Australia, where the 53-year-old man had become stuck due to wet, slippery conditions on the roof.
Emergency crews eventually rescued him after a three-hour operation involving two fire engines and a helicopter.
Police have charged him with trespass, possession of housebreaking equipment and attempted breaking-and-entering.
New South Wales police said in a statement that a rescue unit first tried to reach the man on top of the three-storey building early on Sunday, but heavy rain had made the roof too dangerous to climb on to.
Police said that the man was found to have a helmet with a light, bolt cutters, a small ladder, backpack, tarpaulin, ropes and harnesses.
He was refused bail.
