The Howard 100 News

The Howard 100 News

Here are some of the stories The Howard 100 News Team is working on for today's broadcasts (Thursday, August 21st):

# Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G lands an exclusive interview with a longtime teacher of Beetlejuice. She reveals that the legendary Wack Packer’s parents once wanted him and his sister to join the circus. Plus, Beet was put into cooking classes where he once made a 4 pound meatball instead of a ¼ pound meatball. The teacher says the ladies loved Beetlejuice, and the teachers thought very highly of him. Howard 100 News has the story.
# Pants on Fire? Dominic Barbara explains to Howard 100 News what went down when his boat was ablaze on Long Island Sound and why his pants were down when rescuers responded to his now famous distress call. Dominic claims he’s lost weight and decided to ditch his shorts because they were falling off anyway.
# Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G spoke with Sasha Charnin Morrison, she’s the Fashion Director of US Weekly and in charge of the “Who Wore it Best” feature, in which Catherine Zeta Jones was picked over Beth O. Sasha says it is her job to find famous people wearing the same dresses, and claims she doesn’t accept submissions from publicists. She says that the “Who Wore it Best” feature is done through text message voting, they send out the pictures via text message to Verizon subscribers who can then vote on them. But for the record, the poll on US Weekly’s website has Beth O leading Zeta-Jones by a large margin.
# Robin Quivers tells Howard 100 News that Jim Florentine has now apologized to her for his comments on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show last week. Jim apparently told Robin it was impossible to avoid going on Bubba’s show because Jim was performing standup in Tampa, and doing press was part of his contract. Robin says she is still friends with Jim.
# Jason Kaplan or Jayson Blair? Kaplan’s journalism professor comments to Howard 100 News reporter Steve Langford on his former student’s blunder. Jason told Stern listeners erroneously that Hillary Clinton had been named Barack Obama’s running mate, and Professor Steve Miller tells there’s no substitute for checking and re-checking your sources before you rush on the air with a story. Coming up tonight at 7pm, on Howard 101, SuperFan Roundtable.

Those stories and much more coming up on the Howard 100 Noontime News - every weekday at noon eastern, and updates every hour, or as close as we can get!
